To create your own ice sculpture is a fantastic experience and in Åre you have the chance. We provide you with the crystal clear ice, the tools and an instructor. The only thing you need to do is unleash your inner artist, be creative and create a beautiful piece of art. Ice a vivid and very grateful material to work with and the ice we use is absolutely crystal clear. One kit contains; a smaller exercise block and a larger block (50 x 30 x 30 cm), tools, reindeer skin (to sit on) and lights to give the artwork different colors. There is always a guide around, to give instructions and to keep a fire burning where we make coffee and hot chocolate. One ice sculpture kit is suitable for one or maximum two persons to share the ice block and the tools.

Suddenly, you feel a strong tug on the ice fishing rod in your hand, and an intense battle begins between you and the Arctic char that just took the bait. After a brief struggle, you successfully pull the fish up through the hole and quickly drop your lure back down—Arctic char swim in schools, so now is the time to seize the opportunity.
For three hours, we’ll take you out onto the ice of a nearby lake or tarn in the Åre area, fishing in the best winter spots where Arctic char and trout are known to bite. During the trip, we’ll also treat you to some refreshments.

In the central of Åre you can find the good old “Kälkspåret”, which meanders from Fjällgården along Bergbanan down to Åre. Here we offer, several evenings a week, the opportunity to “drop in” with friends and family and go a number of times on our different fun carriages in the 800-meter track. The carriages that are available are: Zibobs, Scorpioracers and sleds. This activity is a “drop in” activity that has a limited amount of tickets.
For the smoothest and fastest handling at pickup of carriages, we recommend pre-booking online via our website. If there is a large number of guests, we will make sure that the pre-booked guests gets a zibob/scorpionracer/sled first. For other guests it is the term “first come first served” that’s available and tickets can be purchased at the start (Bergbanan endstation) or at Fjällgården.
We are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 18:00-20:00 week 52 – week 10 and Saturdays 18.00-20.00 from week 11 as long as there is enough snow.
Kälkspåret Race Park is an easy accessible adventure for guests in Åre who like to have fun in the snow together with family or friends.

Our wintersled adventure starts in Åre Björnen where we sit down on warm reindeer furs in our comfortable big sled thats linked behind an ATV (all-terrain vehicle). After leaving Åre Björnen the trip goes through a wonderful landscape with fantasic veiws on the backside of mount Åreskutan and soon we reach our goal, a really nice and cozy hut high up on the mountain side. Here we will be all alone in the wilderness and the only “sound” to listen to is the silence. In the hut we will have time to relax, light a fire and have a break for coffee and snacks and if there is kids on the trip they will have the chance to go sledding in the slopes around the hut. If you like, we can also arrange lunch in the hut.
The ATV Wintersled adventure is an easy accessible adventure for guests in Åre who like to come out in the wilderness and get a feeling of being alone on the mountain. This is a good and safe alternative to snowmobiling and snowscooter where you easily can bring the family and friends for an unforgettable adventure in the wilderness.

A full day guided experience on the mountain where we discover Mt. Åreskutan on a snowbike. We show you around the slopes and lifts, from Årebjörnen to Ullådalen. To ride a snowbike is very fun and easy to learn, also gentle for knees, joints and tired legs- great if you want a break from skiing. After a warm up we are ready for our journey around the lift system. We start in Årebjörnen and ride all the way to Ullådalen, in red but mostly blue slopes, and we ride in an enjoyable pace. Once in Ullådalen we stop for lunch and a warming (or cooling) drink in a restaurant. Then, after a nice break, we start the journey back to Årebjörnen again- a great tour for the whole family and a guaranteed memorable day.
Who is Snowbike Safari for?
Snowbike Safari is an activity for guests who like to explore Mt Åreskutan in a new way. We recommend that you have tried a little bit of downhill skiing before to get the most out of the day, but there is no requirement.
Experience: Full day snowbike safari (guided tour through the ski system) including lunch in a restaurant on the piste.
Site: Årebjörnen, meet at our activity caravan which is close to Carins Krog (restaurant) and the skishop (Årebjörnens skicentre).
Time scale: Full day, approx. 5-6 hrs.
Age-limit: 15 years.
Your own gear: Skiboots and clothes suitable for skiing. (Skiboots can be rented beforehand in Årebjörnens skicentre or Skistar shop).
Other: Guide, lunch, skipass, helmet, snowbike and footskies are included. Skipass is not included!
