Åre´s cableway takes us to the top of Mount Åreskutan, which is the start of our track and a place with fantastic views. From here we walk our way back down to the village, and along the way we stop at a shelter and eat traditional swedish pork pancakes (Kolbulle), fried over a campfire. Along the track we also pass some snow covered areas where we stop for a different kind of snowball fight in the middle of the summer.
Åreskutan exclusive walk is an easy accessible adventure for guests in Åre who like to explore the big mountain Åreskutan by foot and with an exprienced guide. If you are interested in local history and local food this is the adventure for you. To get the best out of this adventure we recommend that you can walk 6-7 kilometer in summer without getting to tired.

With snowshoes strapped to our feet, we head out on a trek straight into the wilderness and mountains of Jämtland. We start in low birch forest enjoying the magic views of Mount Åreskutan and Åredalen that open up for us. Our knowledgeable guide explains the tracks in the snow and as we walk, also the history of Åre. During the trek we take a break, light a fire and fry “Kolbulle” a traditional pork pancakes for lunch.

Åres roligaste aktivitet är förmodligen Kälkbanan i Åre. Kärt barn har många namn och Kälkbanan i Åre kallas även Kälkspåret i Åre eller Kälkspåret Race Park. Oavsett namn på aktiviteterna som genomförs där, så är upplevelsen i spåret något utöver det vanliga med allehanda åkdon i det över 800 meter långa spåret. Tävlingsupplägget kan se olika ut och anpassas till gruppens fysiska förmåga och önskemål. Vår utrustning är enkel att använda och gevären motsvarar de riktiga gevär som används på tävlingar inom världscupen, VM och OS.
Aktiviteten är helt miljövänlig och kombineras gärna med en exklusiv föreläsning av förre landslagsmannen i skidskytte, Tord Wiksten.
We welcome you to travel with us and our friendly sleddogs trough the wilderness of Åre and Jämtland. Let our traind dogs take you on a jorney over the frozen lakes, the snowy Mountains and enjoy the wounderful weivs along our ride. We promise you to get a memory for life. Our sleddog tour normally starts within 12 kilometers from Åre village and we suit our tours from the weather conditions.
The dogs used on our tours is usually siberian huskies or Alaskan huskies which are breed to be used as sled dogs. When the tours starts it immediately becomes full speed of the dogs, but after a little while they start moving to a quieter, more comfortable pace in which the dogs can continue nearly forever.
We offer sleddog tours from two hours to several days, so come and enjoy adventurous dogsled travel with our social, behaved, beautiful and fit sleddogs here in Åre and Jämtland.
